5) Trumpet craft

<< Any suggestions for an easy trumpet craft

Use a toilet paper or paper towel tube, let children color with markers or cover with paper if you wish. To one end attach with tape a slanted-shaped item such as a solo cup or snow cone holder. For more decoration they could tape ribbons or streamers to hang down from t.p. tube. Kathy, Garland, TX

7) Snowflakes quote?

Hi Sarah! I am looking for a poem or perhaps a scriptural quote about snowflakes for our Ladies Ministries Christmas dinner. If you have any or know of any resources, I would really appreciate it. thank you, Sandy Peters

--from ChristianCrafters.Com: A great way to find Scriptural quotes is by using an Exhaustive Bible Concordance. Sort of like an 'old fashioned search engine'. Look up the keyword, ie. "Snow or snowflake", and you'll find a few references in Scripture. You can also purchase Bible software with a concordance, and even get free Bible software in General Mills cereal. It comes bundled with various Hasbro games and reference materials. (You can also purchase from our Bookstore.) Blessings, Sarah K.

9) Thanksgiving snack/craft/story

I found a wonderful story called "Squanto--God's Chosen Indian" by Dr.
Ralph F. Wilsonon the web. I read it to the girls in my Missionettes
club this week while they made edible teepees:

Give each kid a pointed sugar cone. They frost their sugar cones, and
let the frosting work as glue for various candies used to decorate the
teepee. A few toothpicks on the top creates the effect of the teepee's
support sticks. After admiring the creations, remove the toothpicks, and
eat!

Of course, the Native Americans that helped the Indians did not live in
round teepees (you can share this with the kids), but it's hard to find a
cone shaped like a longhouse! The story illustrates God's plan for
Squanto, even through difficult times. Dana, St. Clair Shores, MI
