This Network is so great! Truely an inspired ministry!
Can you give us any ideas for instilling a hunger for God's word in Children

Preschool age game:
In Response to Cassida Razor's request for preschool age games: The best idea I came up with is a game I call "Shepherd, Shepherd, where's your little lamb?" The purpose of the game is to get the little ones to understand the concept of Jesus' parable of how important each and every sheep is to a shepard and that Jesus is our shepherd and we are his sheep. In the game, the children sit in a circle or around a table. I purchased a mini bean bag lamb (I have also used one I made out of cotton balls glued to a balled up baby sock - anything small enough for little hands to easily handle.) I pick a "shepherd" from the group. The "shepherd" leaves the room or hides his face in a corner. The remaining students pass the lamb around while reciting "Jesus is our shepherd and we are his sheep" several times. When I say "stop", all the children hide their hands and yell "Shepherd, Shepherd, where's you little lamb?". It is the shepherd's job to guess who has his lamb. If he guesses the right person, he takes their seat and they become the "shepherd"; if not, he goes back and the process starts over. If he cannot guess after three tries, whoever is holding the lamb becomes the next "shepherd". In the game, I also try to get the children to see that the shepherd really wants to find his lamb because it is very important and he loves it very much and he doesn't want to give up looking just as they don't want to give up guessing who has their lamb. It is a great lesson for children of all ages!! ~~ Rochelle Wooten East Parish St. Church of Christ, Sandusky, Ohio

Children wash each others feet:
Angie, San Diego, Ca. I am a Sunday school teacher for 1st and 2nd graders.
I will be teaching the last supper this sunday, when Jesus washes the disciplines
feet. I am going to have the children wash each others feet.
How can I describe to them what they are feeling?
I have two meanings of the story. If you are a leader you must be a servant
first and you must serve the Lord and each other. How can I explain in
kids terms how to serve God and others? What other examples can I give them?
Do you know of a craft that would go good with this theme? song perhaps.
Thanks for your help.
