1) Stations of the Cross

I am looking for something to have my 6th grade religious education class
make that would be in the form of a hanging art project reflecting the
Stations of the Cross.  I was wondering if you could possibly help me out
here and can suggest any place I might be able to go for help in doing
so.

Last year my class got 1 station each and they made art projects
reflecting that station, but, it was done so they could sit and be
displayed on a table.  This year, my director wants to hang them up like
in a form of a banner.

Any help, suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
My email is zob-3425@msn.com
Thanks Mary

2) When I was cold...

On the street I saw a small girl, cold and shivering in a
thin dress, with little hope of a decent meal. I became
angry and said to God: “Why did you permit this? Why
don’t you do something about it?”

He replied: “I did do something about it. . . . I made you!”

3) More Meat, Less Crafts

The person who wrote regarding fewer crafts - more meat struck home with
me. I also worry that Sunday School can become too much of an
arts-n-crafts time. I spend A LOT of time finding "just the right" craft,
project, etc...But, I look at it like this: one, SS teachers are not the
only - or necessarily - the most important spiritual influence for a
child. That comes from many different sources. Secondly, is it more
important for that child to be bored senseless or to return - even if it
is for games, art, songs and (heaven forbid!) snacks? And, finally, what's
wrong with fun in church? God has a sense of humor and fun - why shouldn't
we? Lighten up!

4) Star Crafts

I taught a pre-school class several years ago.  I was teaching on
friendship so we had a little tea party.  I served juice and cheese
sandwiches cut in the shape of stars.  You can use a cookie cutter to cut
out the stars... don't know if this helps.

PS  Creation is a good story to tell if you want to use stars..

5) Ideas for 3 year olds?

I would love any ideas for decorating, games, and storytelling ideas to
keep my 3's sunday school classes attention. A lot of my students are
newly 3 and still have some of the 2's left in them.

Thanks
Elizabeth

6) Animals for witness

>"I would like to concentrate on using animals to bring in a
>Christian witness but any ideas would be welcomed."

I was sent this website from Children's Ministries Magazine. It has
stories of animals that illustrate Bible truths. Hope you find it useful
(it's in English, though.) http://cmmag.com/articles/detail.asp?ID=4751

8) Heroes of the Bible?

Hello,
I would like to start a series of  lessons on Heroes.  There was a book
on the website about 3 months ago but I can't seem to find it.  Does
anyone have any great ideas or resources.  I will be teaching  Grades 5
- 7 first and then adapting it to Grades 2 - 4.  Thanks for any
information.

9) Lord's Prayer in sign language?

I am trying to find The Lord's Prayer in sign language so that I can teach
it to my preschool Sunday School class.  I have searched the internet but
I can't find it.
Any ideas?
